Race for the Cure

Today, 10 of us did the Race for the Cure on 10/10/2010.  We all met at our house at 5:30am and we carpooled downtown.  There were 8 doing the 5k walk and 2 of us doing the 5k run. Unfortunately, Nelly woke up with a 102 degree fever or we would have had 3 of us running.  As it was, since it was non competitive, Kelly and I ran together.  It was so much fun.  We had a great time walking around all the booths and collecting all the free stuff.  We were able to fill out a dedication form that we pinned on our shirts for either "in memory of" or "in celebration of". My was in celebration of my Mom who is a survivor and our friend Pam Bruecker, who is still in the fight.  There was well over 30,000 people there. It was totally an awesome experience.
