Hidden Valley Hike
On Sunday morning, some of the girls and I did a hike very close to our house. It actually goes up to the top of South Mountain and connects with a trail called Hidden Valley trail. There is a lot of really cool rock formations. There is an area called Fat Man's Pass that you can either squeeze through or go over. Another interesting find on the hike is a natural rock tunnel. The scenery was gorgeous and the day was beautiful. The weatherman had called for rain on Sunday, but it was sunny and perfect until we hit the parking lot after the hike and it started to rain. It is about a 2 hour hike, so it was a great workout before our dining meet up lunch at the Raven Golf Course. John spent his morning watching the Packer game and caught up with us at the Raven. I did my first Turkey Trot on Saturday in Laveen. John came along and hung out with Kelly's husband Brandon while we ran. I have one more Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning (both 5k's).
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! We are looking forward to a relaxing 4 days (before the craziness of December).
