Back to Basics- 7 Years for Straight Shot Express Phoenix

7 years ago today, John opened the doors for the first time of Straight Shot Express Phoenix. Let me tell you, it has been a wild ride. After riding the upswing of the economy for the first 5 years, we headed on a landslide for the next 2 years. We have chosen to be optimistic about our future and work like crazy to keep our business open and our customers happy. We made some very necessary changes to be able to stay in business and so far it has paid off. It is back to John and I working together every day with a sense of urgency with every call- which was the key our success in the beginning. John never ceases to amaze me with his dilligence to keep things running and his ever present positive attitude. It is exciting for us to be where we are at right now, as it is very reminiscent of 7 years ago when we started. Even more so, because we have an excellent loyal customer base that is slowly coming back to us as they get busy again. Also, our Tucson G.M., Kurt, has built that business up to a profitable state. With a record month in June and another one going in July, he has done a fantastic job. We have a big hole to crawl out of that we dug that last 2 years, but at least we are heading in the right direction. John and I have beat the odds in so many things together and we have confidence that we will beat this economy as well. Thanks to our family and friends who have been so supportive through our downturn and offered encouraging words when we really needed them. You are as big a part of our success as anything.
Today is also the anniversary of John and my first date. We went to see Cheap Trick in Seymour at the Outagamie County Fair. Boy, if we only knew what we were in for :)! John is definitely the love of my life. It has been a great ride and we look forward to many more!
