AFter a year and a half, my prickly pear cactus finally blossomed. (I know, I am a little wrapped up in my plants right now). This is one of the plants I got when Holly was here in 2007. I knew it had some buds on it and I was very surprised today when I came home and there was three of them open. Growing up in Wisconsin I never had the opportunity to grow cacti (outside, that is) so this is pretty exciting to me.

Beautiful! But are you SURE that is the same "Mickey Mouse" plant that you got in 2007?? Boy! That thing really grew!
